Careful, they aren't beating up on Republicans. I think they are only beating up on the lack of Klock's clarity.

I think Bush's approach is tactically flawed here. He just can't get to the right side of this issue. This is a petty argument they are making. Klock is arguing on behalf of conflicting rules and not fairness.
