You are totally correct. They knew the court might be leaning toward the Gore argument, and were less prepared than they should have been for the emotional undercurrents displayed by the court.

The one guy that I thought was excellent was the Bush dood with the white hair. It appeared to me that the court had already made their minds up before they listened to the lawyers.

This whole thing is a Constitutional situation IMHO, it was the moment it started, and I strongly suspect that at some point it will end up in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. I can't think of a way that the Florida Supreme Court could solve this so that it stops here.

I agree, they should've had better answers to the judge's questions and they acted surprised that they had to answer questions.
