I agree TG. If anything, their chances would be better for a federal court appointment (including the Supreme Court) if they ruled for Bush. Dems would have a hard time voting against a fellow Dem who is seen as having voted his conscience, while as this thread makes clear the GOP will simply assume the fix is in if they rule for Gore. I think it's a close question, and would prefer to assume that they are going to decide it on the merits. This site discusses what the Court has done in the past with voter intent cases. foxnews.com
