gc: "Do you have any evidence to support this statement?" Yes. Evidence is plentiful and is becoming more evident. (Play on words.) There are numerous sites on the Internet where one can extract factual information and draw one's own conclusions. I can't take the time to enumerate them as there are so many. But you might start with your search feature of your browser and type in the key words. Various market studies have shown that SONET growth will be overtaken by DWDM as early as next year as SONET sales slow and DWDM sales accelerate.
