What's that got to do with it? It's a fact that the republican's haven't reached out as much as the democrats. If we really want to get honest, we know why the dems reached out in the first place. Aside from a Bobby Kennedy, most just want the vote and they'll do anything to get it. 96% poses a very real image problem. I know Jackson and Sharpton are jerks, but most blacks do not see them that way. Even if they do, it is not enough to sway them away from the democratic way. A very smart friend of mine who is very acquainted with the political process (who himself is not black) told me straight out: Blacks are afraid of the republicans getting too much power. Gore and his crew know this and continue to use it to their advantage. Republicans need to show they're for ALL the people, without compromising their stand on moral issues. Apparently, they have a ways to go.
