I think the Bush campaign will be given the option of a hand count in other counties if they want it but they may turn it down.

A "better" solution would be to finish up the hand counts that are already underway, and then certify the election.

Understand that I am suggesting this after observing the proceedings and attempting to deduce what the court is concerned about.


Good observation, I think, as they did rather focus on time. They also seemed to express concern that the process be completed in time for Bush's side to have the time to protest the results, once completed. They seemed to refer to the whole process as "the contest" - meaning completion of the recount and any possible protest of the results. In that respect, they appeared to be considering the possible options of, and time for, both sides.
