Nihil, I dont know enough about the law to either agree or disagree with you.

But I think the Supreme court "intreprets" all the laws and passes judgements on all cases that it 'agrees' to hear, not just those involving the constitution.

Dont know anything about teh GE Pregnancy leave case.

Congress can pass the laws, but I think it would be almost impossible to have them effective "before" the date the law is passed. AS a matter of fact, i will go out on the limb and claim that they CANNOT pass retroactive laws. otherwise we are all liable to become criminals or have civil penalties for something that we did that was PERFECTLY legal at the time we did it.

Hence I dont understand how congress can reverse SC. By reversal you do mean prior judgements and not future ones?? If not then it is not a reversal but just a change in the law for future actions.

Remember

Executive branch proposes the laws.
Congress passes the laws
Judiciary 'interprets' the laws.

No one has power or control over the others. Else Clinton could have stopped the courts from prosecuting him.
