A new Election 2000 term?

Handicapping the FL Supreme Court hearing, I would guess the odds are 3 to 2 that they will allow the manual count before the certification. Monday midnight deadline. I don't think they will stick their collective noses into the chad issue.

They also might offer Bush the opportunity to manual count in selected counties. That could extend the deadline for a few days.

My guess is Bush goes to the US Supreme's within hours of the decision. I don't think they will hear the case.

My last guess is that Bush wins, despite the manual count. And all the blustering Republicans on the thread will claim a victory, because they didn't let the morally inferior Democrat conspiracy steal the election. And in two years, when the Republicans lose the House and the Senate, this whole thing will be viewed as a conspiracy to make that happen.
