Jock,

How do you rectify Yahoo's brokerage history that has MSDW initiating coverage on 10/13/00 at a Strong Buy and then downgrading on 11/20/00 to an Outperform?

I see no MSDW prior to that and the list goes back to July 1999. Not trying to harp on you, but just trying to get the facts straight.

Tom

Jock - Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter Initiated coverage of JNPR on October 13, 2000 with a price target of $250/shr, when the stock was trading at $210/shr, causing the stock to jump by about $32/shr the next trading day closing at around $242/shr.

On November 20, 2000 (today and about 5 weeks after their initial coverage) they downgraded the stock from Strong Buy to Outperform when the stock was trading at around $150/shr, which caused the stock to go down by about $32/shr closing at $121/shr.

See for the history of Morgan's coverage of JNPR.

If this is not pump-and-dump by a bunch of self-serving charlatans then I dont know what is! It is sad that we have laws going after Presidents for lying about their sex lives, but there are no laws that can go after (or at least restrict) a bunch of con artist charlatans calling themselves analyst ripping off millions of investors!
