in the bigger scheme of things it doesn't really matter which lackey of corporate America gets elected...

If I had voted my pocket book my vote would have been for Bush as he is in favor of abolishing two taxes that directly affect me: the marriage tax and the estate tax.

I voted my conscience, as a woman, which caused me to vote for Gore as I fear the social agenda of Bush against women.....i.e overturning Roe vs Wade, and taking the country back several notches socially. A woman's body is a woman's body and unfortunately Bush's political agenda is to have control over women's bodies.

The choice to me was quite clear.

The popular vote garnered mostly in large cities was for Gore. Is the electoral college antiquated and yet part of the fabric of the US election process? One of the results of this election may be the introduction of legislation to abolish the electoral college.
