<<THESE DEMOCRAT OFFICIALS ATTEMPTING TO DIVINE THE INTENT OF THE VOTER IS A TRAVESTY TO DEMOCRACY>>

I totally agree with you. I think Woodward and Bernstein will have plenty to write about after this election is over...;-)

Best Regards,

Scott

Jim,

This is why machine ballots of this type have the highest error rate in manual recounting. To assert that manually recounting these ballots will return an accurate vote count is very misleading. It simply requires too much subjective interpretation which is complicated by Florida's lack of standards for manual recounts.

If you run the county & need more votes, you need to have very lax standards. If you need to limit "new" votes, impose the highest possible standard. After all, you have the discretion to implement standards, no?

FWIW, this process is even more subjective than many believe. The disputed ballots will be reviewed by the county election officials. In PBC county all three officials are democrats. In the other three, there are two democrats & one republican. A vote will be counted if two of three agree on a voters intent.

How can anyone tell me that politically active county officials will objectively divine voter intent?

I for one, do not see the end result being the achievement of vote count that is accurate, fair or impartial.
