TP, I like Ciena but it has a high PE. In addition, it may be more likely to take on orders from smaller companies than NT would. Just a feeling.
Still the growth opportunity for Ciena is a lot better as customers look to having more than NT as a supplier. Companies don't like to be dependent on one supplier. The same argument is used by NT after JDSU/SDLI merger was announced--they were not happy about being forced into one supplier.

I like JNPR since it will play off of NT's announcement as they have a deal. In addition, it is the only real alternative to Cisco. That is why I like Cisco as well---few competitors.

BTW--GLW is getting hit along with JDSU. GLW growth rate is a lot less than JDSU and that is why it is not going anywhere yet. JDSU and SDLI are the dominant suppliers in optical components. I am still waiting to buy into it GLW as it is getting cheap.
