Crash test dummy II

The same machine I was having problems with a few months back is acting up again. The final repair which seemed to fix prior problems was to replace the power supply.

What I am experiencing now is random periods where the mouse slows or freezes. Also their are apparent freezes but not crashes in the system itself. It just slows to a crawl.

It is once again turning itself back on after I shut it down. This does not happen immediately when I shut down and I have not been around when it booted up on its own. I just find out when I walk into the room and its running.

I believe it to be a problem associated with the power supply but am not sure 1: how to fix it and 2: if that is the real problem.

Any suggestions appreciated.
