TG - Re:"IF the National Party(campaign) was behind an effort to eliminate absentee ballots from the military, that would be very bad. IF it was local partisans then it's still bad but can be attributed to loyalist extremes."

The R's have engaged in a Big Lie campaign where if you repeat the lie often enough it becomes a fact. The damning memo from the D's -- damning per the R's that is -- does nothing more than set forth the rules for overseas absentee ballots. That includes all of the overseas crowd: expats, military and merchants. They say you need a timely postmark, a signature, a witness signature, the postmark must be overseas not US, etc., etc,.

I know the R's find this a shocking plan to exclude military votes, but if you are going to monitor the process of determining the correctness of counting absentee ballots, it would be helpful if you know the legal requirements. In no respect is it shocking plot to exclude military votes.

The reason the absentee rules were passed was to prevent the rampant fraud that occurred with Miami absentee ballots in a prior election.
