If IE doesn't lock up, I am going to try it.

The setup disk for RoadRunner has IE 5 on it, and I was going to set it up for comparison, but the setup program told me that the uninstall feature was disabled and if I installed it I could never uninstall it. I kid you not!

Typical Microsoft megalomania. I still haven't been able to completely eradicate MSN from my computer. There are folders that can't be deleted. I put them all into one folder which is named Irritating. It cannot be deleted.

I also can't delete Connection Manager. I've tried and tried, but it won't delete.

I was going to try Gilat's new satellite internet, but found out that you MUST use MSN as your ISP, you MUST buy a new computer, it MUST be a Compaq, and you MUST buy it from Radioshack. What a laugh!

Having already fought to eradicate MSN from this computer and lost, I won't willingly interact with MSN again.

I am kind of obsessing on software because NetScape keeps locking up when I have two windows with java programs going at once. Then when I try to close them they don't respond and control-alt-delete won't fix it and I have to do a hard reboot. And when I do control-alt-delete, and Windows tells me what is running, a lot of the stuff that's running is stuff I don't want to be running, anyway.

I presume it's running in Linux, or maybe Unix, or OS2, or could it be Apple with their
Mac OS.

Don't I wish. Unfortunately, when I bought this Micron the only op sys that they would sell me on it was Win. And WordPerfect wasn't out for Linux then. If only Ford sold cars, we would all drive Fords, like it or not.

Actually, if I had my way it still existed and there were software for it I would be running CP/M, which I used for years with NEVER a SINGLE operating system crash. Looking back, it was heaven. I can't say that Win98 crashes every day, but it does crash at least twice a week.
