the patents are jive. They can't commercialize them. It's obvious.

IBM has filed the most patents out of any single company in any industry for 8 years running, every year.

Patent Applications in the US are considered secret. I think u mean that IBM has been granted the most patents. HOwever, look at Intel since they aren't in the top 10. There is a difference in patenting everything and patenting only what's important. Think of all those maintenance fees on those patents. If they aren't making any (or much) money off their patents, then they are wasting their money....
