Dear Jane, I'm rather new to shorting.....so used to the long side I have to take things slow. So far, so good. Please be careful this week, it is infamous for strange occurrences. I am not saying that you should cover anything, believe me. Just that stop losses should be in place, if you are new to shorting. Shorting is not the sport of amateurs in a week like this. Many have have been wiped out during Thanksgiving week. I am short MPPP at 10.50 and really not too worried about it, because I am well allocated. New shorts however this week are not in my game plan. This election is an uncertainty for sure in todays market, but why take the risk with shorten trading days and Ma & Pa being off work this week? Bargain hunting may occur? Who knows? Just beware. Better safe than sorry, imo. Above all, good luck. Happy Thanksgiving on the beach:-)
