I agree with you on the distribution thing. Puzzling as to why they wouldn't announce the distribution and then do the equity issue after the unit price moved up (hopefully). The only thing I can think of is that the new issue is somehow or other directly linked to the financing of the "major acquisition" which is set to close apparently at the end of the month.

The new issue won't be entirely dilutive if they use it to reduce debt, and reduce interest charges, or if they use it as part of an immediately accretive acquisition. Guess we'll see real soon if the anticipated dividend (you and I thought
.08-.10) is affected by all this.

Agreed, the secondary is perplexing unless there is something out there that is just screaming at them to buy... for a company that is coming out of the darkness to finally pay a distribution it's hard to believe they are looking to expand suddenly.
