Petz, Petz, Do I hear an echo? hehehe,
valid points, so that means that intel will offer enormous subsidies to roll it out wall to wall. Has this been happening already? Since they need not have waited for the physical release of the P-4 to start the developer push?
I am not sure what absolute limts are encountered when you speedm ramp at 1-2 ghz. All kinds of stripline effects can happen whenever you get some kind of straight runs. can even cause signal cancellations etc as you go up by 50 mhz and a 1/4 wave stub makes itself known somewhere, since as you get to a few ghz the capacitance and inductance of small surface runs can do this in strange ways, of course you could go up by 100 and pass it??
