<< Maybe AMD does not want to threaten its Christmas sales. They might want to avoid he famous Pentium MMX effect when a highly praised wonder chip was announced for January. The expectations were so high that everybody kept waiting and refused to buy the old Pentium during the previous Christmas buying season. >> I really don't think enough people who buy AMD follow their releases to have this effect. I also don't think the expectations for palomino are that high. (at least i don't expect much more then a thunderbird except slightly higher clock speed)
