THe point of all this is to increase net worth and not to watch it evaporate by the day.

I am certain that the GGame does not cater to "day by day" moves up/down. Nor is it a tool to monitor daily net-worth changes.

True if you aren't selling it makes no difference at that momnet but there will come a moment when it does.

seems to me u are assuming that things will keep going down for ever - logical conclusion if I follow your train of thought is DOW & NAZ @ 0. I dont buy that.

You simply don't actaully KNOW whether it will ever go back up again in a reasonable time frame.

different people may have different expectations of "reasonable time". A multi-year buy&hold approach takes away these hassles & u get to live a life (aka sleep easy), and potentially have a good shot at making some money without undue risk.

The GGame teaches us how to identify G/K companies, and also explains to us the benefits of holding long term. Medium-term stock price fluctuation is not, IMO, an aspect of GGaming.
