J.T. I have been following the market drama from your technical perspective from the stands here for some time. I enjoy and appreciate your posts greatly. I have a question though. What empirical evidence exists, if any, that the large speculators, such as those in Titan, are always wrong. Having traded commodities for some time, I haven't found this to be an infallible assumption.

Rydex Total Assets Update for Tuesday, November 21st:

Regular Series:

SPX Long - NOVA 407.3 Million
SPX Short- URSA 275.4 Million

NDX Long - OTC 2,223 BILLION
NDX Short- Arktos 112.3 Million

XAU Precious Metals 24.3 Million
Biotechnology 553 Million
Money Market 1.386 BILLION

*********************************************

Dynamic Series (200% correlation)

SPX Long - TITAN 53.8 Million
SPX Short- TEMPEST 14.0 Million

NDX Long - VELOCITY 99.1 Million
NDX Short- VENTURE 26.1 Million

*********************************************

Pre-holiday *rally* on Tuesday nets 5 points on the SPX; the smoke clears the air and the money runs for cover. Approximately 30 million moves right back out of SPX Long TITAN Fund.

All other money held relatively constant.

Now tonight with the FLA Supreme Court expected ruling of gore's altruistic "the peoples vote" <g>-extending the vote count to Sunday the 26th- futures are down again and there will be no buyers stepping up as all head out of dodge for the turkey holidays. In a vacuum of buying is continued selling and volatility on low volume.

Still not at capitulation levels- maybe 2 more days on week volume (Weds, Fri) and we will consider going long potentially Weds or Fri into the close. Only on capitulation and deeper oversold levels from todays close.

XAU takes the prize up 3.5% for the day. Still long 100% XAU Precious Metals - I will look to take profits over the next 1 or 2 days (Weds or Fri) into the new moon on Saturday.

Best Regards, J.T.
