greg, the actions of Dade and others to throw out most military ballots were not just questionable, but illegal. A law was passed a year or two ago in Florida which states that military ballots DO NOT NEED POSTMARKS WHATSOVER and can be accepted up to the recent cutoff date if they are dated, signed and witnessed. I understand that the reason this law was passed is that the anti-military folks at places like Dade were in the past routinely throwing out military ballots without postmarks.

In fact, even the Democratic attorney general of Florida has now demanded that these ballots be counted.

With those 300 to 500 additional votes, I think Bush will be uncatchable. The only things remaining to do are
1) Get affidavits from 3000 people in Palm Beach county attesting that they voted for Buchanan.
2) Make sure Miami Dade is watched very closely since they are the most corrupt of the 3 counties even though their Democratic plurality is the smallest.

"What are you talking about here? The procedure was simple, just like filling out a butterfly ballot, "

I wasn't talking about the filling out of the ballot, but the procedure of witnessing and validating if the ballot cannot be postmarked. This is what resulted in the ballots being invalidated.

As far as lobbying prison inmates for their votes, huh? You mean the wardens were allowing people in to solicit votes? I guess by your wording you are confident that those prisoners would vote Democratic. Do you have any proof of this?

For what it is worth, I rarely vote for Democratic candidates, only voted for one in this past election and she wasn't Gore. So much for MY friends.
