KG - You're beginning to sound like me. I thought that I had IPR on being gloomy so I'll think about charging a license fee or royalties!!!

Today is Tuesday and all Tuesday have been nominated as golf days for shorts by Mr Hope. Longs go pecualiar on Tuesday and suffer from a peucliar form of mass hallucination which encourages them to believe that things are getting better. This state of euphoria, amazingly encourages them to go out and actually buy equities. It is almost the equivalent of being told that drinking a pint of gasoline a day is good for you.

Still off we go, lemmings united, feeling great unitl of course Wednesday morning comes around. Tuesday evening and Wednesday mornings are now great times for houses to issue downgrades as thre is an extra little kick in the stocks concerned getting hit for just that bit extra as a result of the Tuesday Golf Day Rally.

So boys and girls watch out tonight and tomorrwo morning for the next clutch of downgrades. I asked for a thread bet to guess them but no-one responded. My guess is that you start with some high profile high fliers with P/Es over 100. The higher the P/E is over 100 the greater the chance of a downgrade andf thereby the greater the chance anyone holding that stock will lose between 30% - 50% of their investment in 24 -48 hours.

OK anyone want to guess this weeks downgrades?

Best regards,

L
