no matter it would be unthinkable to switch to Bush given the clear difference between the two policy wise...........I ain't that shallow!. Whatever that is supposed to mean... In any case, as I said, I wouldn't expect many Gore people to switch to Bush. However, polls indicate clearly that Gore has lost much partisan support. Considering that the all important relationhip of Head of the Armed Forces has been sullied to the degree it has--how many thoughtful democrats truly want Gore to now become the leader of those young men and women charged with the Nation's protection? It is a sign of immaturity to dig in one's heels, and to take a win at any cost attitude. Sometimes, to win is to lose. This might be one of those times...

pezz, the position of your democrat party relating to attacking our military has many if not most Americans extremely concerned and upset with Gore and his followers. I believe there will be widespread abandonment of the democrat party by those who have principles and values that are not consistent with this despicable act. I am hopeful a lot of them will join the republican party, which I believe better reflects the true American ideal. However, I am sure many will go to the libertarian, green, etc.. I believe for the people who really love America and respect those brave and dedicated people out there in the world protecting our interest they will have no more use for the flawed socialistic views and principles put forth under the leadership of Clinton and Gore.
