No postmark TOUGH LUCK...The military can't take care of their own...Republicans want it BOTH ways every TIME. No wonder the bush attorney couldn't answer ANY questions regarding Texas or ANY other state regarding their laws pertaining to elections...definately his worst moment...

One legacy of the Clinton/Gore adminstration will be the increasingly political activism of military service members.

Saw Sen. Bob Kerrey,Nebraska discussing how it was the military member's fault for not properly completing their absentee ballot and getting them postmarked.

Well, he might be a former Navy SEAL, and Medal of Honor winner, but he came from a different era when the military was not encouraged to vote, and much apolitical. But that was also an era where the draft provided much of its manpower, and where our servicemen weren't being sent all over the world wearing blue UN berets.

With an all volunteer military, voting power and limited activism come part and parcel with their service.

I guess 'ol Bob has forgotten about the commander's responsibility for the welfare of their troops.

Regards,

Ron
