If you read the story you will see that the others (Democrats) that were in line to be chosen declined to serve as they didn't have the time to devote to the effort. It may well be that they decided to opt out of being the focus of all the brouhaha. You know you really shouldn't try and paint Democrats as trying to steal the election. Not after the shameless partisan display from Katherine Harris and her attempts to rush premature totals through as final when her man is ahead. Despite your polarizing depictions of the Democrats in the state it just may be that a fair and accurate count may ultimately benefit both men and both parties.
