SS,

Thanks for the post. It reaffirmed my thoughts.

When my daughter came to the garage and told me she needed my help, I thought she wanted me to back the truck out of the yard for her. When I saw what she had done, I was furious. She has backed the truck out of that spot lots of times without incident. All I could think of at the time was how proud I was of her earlier in the day and that I could not let this incident ruin her day, and maybe the rest of her year. I wanted to yell, scream, cuss, etc. The thought of physical harm never crossed my mind. I know I could count the times I have spanked my kids on both hands and toes. All three inclusive. (Three kids, not three hands and toes)

I am honestly proud of myself for handling it the way I did.

I didn't think I had it in me.

Thanks again,
Phil
