Solon, good post, but it's no mystery at all. The media is culpable in the framing of debate in such a way that the civil rights of half the population are routinely violated.

The media has annointed itself by becoming the organ of celebrity. Who gets air time on all the networks, the same pundits over and over rambling in support of this or that spin. The media itself is disgraceful in it's behavior, it has no credibility with me at all.

Political hegemony is all the media stands for. Think about hegemony, what it is how it works, no the media is a disgrace, not worthy of the esteem it accords itself.

It's accidents are not accidents, it's positions never by chance. Thank God for those 107 million Americans who said None of the above.
