Population rankings: Texas/2, Florida/4, Ohio/7, Georgia/10, North Carolina/11, Virginia/12, Indiana/13---- just to note a few. And, contrary to your view, several of these are highly urbanized states. Remember Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Galveston, etc.? Cleveland, Toledo, Cincinnati, Dayton, Akron? Ah well.......
