My wait is six weeks before I get my ADSL connection from Winfire, I wanted a Westell modem but they said they only use Efficient. It's a free ADSL connection with a banner ad at the top of the screen at 144K,.....but what the heck, its free service with an up front $200 modem fee.
I might wait longer that six weeks, but that's what they tell me. I think I will wait about 8 to 10 weeks.
The link to the free ADSL is

www.freedsl.com

check it out to see if your phone line qualifies.

The analogy: DSL business is as big as an aircraft carrier, the problem is, we started sinking as we pulled out of port and it takes 3 miles to get up to speed. Tough roe to hoe for anyone in the ISP and CLEC business. Those in ILEC DSL will do very well.
