Wayne, NYC public schools are rated much higher than Texas schools. And we have our poor minority schools, too. River Oaks High, Houston's 90210 school, does much better than those in Deep Elam, a ghetto in Dallas. And Dubya is certainly not an agent of positive change. The answer to the educational problems is not "have your daddy buy you into Yale." <g> That last comment was a twist on the old story about Barry Goldwater's solution to poverty: "have your grandfather start a department store."
