But the economy's going to collapse, right? Not stumble, not correct, collapse. Why go long? Buy puts! Short stocks! Store bottled water!

You need to get to the low teens before its buy time according to your list.

You like taking me out of context. That wasn't "my list." The people who wrote it are from the realm of investment clubs, a group with the usual amazing tendency to underperform the market. There's been lot of times to embarass oneself selling a 25 P/E, which is still fair market value.

It was simply a list of reasons to sell that was something besides "Eek! The market is down! Panic!" As such it was more sensible than the sensational claims I hear from you.
