Then why should time be extended for ANY of the counties that halted the manual counting while awaiting a ruling from SoS, AG, judge? I'm not in favor of the manual counting. However, the self-halting of counting was arbitrary and irresponsible.

I note, TigerPaw, that Daley and Christophsen were planning to suggest conceding to Gore because they really didn't see any hope of overturning Lewis on the Harris decision. Even to them the legal principles are clear. They were caught by surprise by the FSC's willingness to ignore precedent.

I have yet to hear any legal scholar give a good explanation for what legal reasoning the court might or should use to over-rule the standing decision.
