Yup...I'm married to an Asian woman, so got that one knocked into my head the first couple times I said it...however, very few Americans are aware that calling Asians Orientals is offensive...most Americans (shockingly)are also just as guilty thinking that there is no difference betweeen Japanese and Koreans and probably even the Chinese...you'd be amazed at how many times folks come up to my wife and start talking about having a best friend that is Vietnamese...my wife's pat answer is "yes, and I have quite a few white friends myself"!
