One does sense a ground swell here that could possibly grow to considerable size. I am a hobbyist who also builds for friends and over the past month or so of developments have found myself shifting to an energetic hardsell of anything AMD based on the evidence. Now, the good buzz re AMD combines with the bad buzz re P4, and the pro-AMD chatter I'm reading on the BBS's is growing in proportion to the emerging performance/value differences between AMD and Intel across the board at the PC level. This is momentum that, if AMD can follow through with equally superior server and mobile products, will replace "Intel Inside" with "AMD Everywhere", and would indeed be a story to behold. I'm very excited about their prospects in 01 and hoping that the market takes serious notice in another quarter or 2.
