there have been lots of links to 'market outlook' from big name houses lately. gee lets see. these were the same guys in July 1998 talking up 10,000 when DOW was running,...and then it DUMPED....... and the same guys,3 months later, with DOW 7400,that were talking 6000 in Oct 1998....and the same guys talking 13,000 with DOW at 11,700, and it dumped. and now they all say "Everybody expects a rally, but I think we have to have CAPITULATION first"....well who is everybody?? nearly EVERYONE interviewed pukes up CAPITULATION 1st, got to have capitulation. know how we always see some CEO's standing in the balcony of NYSE admiring the opening trades for their new IPO? well I guess they expect Jodi Foster, clad in a bear suit, from the Hotel New Hampshire, to be standing up there waving a white flag screaming CAPITULATION or MASTURBATION or something like that(guess you had to read the book). truth is, the REALLY smart ones, yell FIRE!! at the bottom so they can complete their orderly 'distribution' of shorts without creating a short covering spike. they do the same when they smell 'top',they yell HIGHER, so they can distribute their longs. If I were in charge of BILLIONS this is exactly what I would do when I perceived "top' or "bottom', as it would allow me to rotate huge blocks. CAPITULATION?? we saw it in the broader markets on OCT 18th. the NAZ gorged like the pig it is and now it has bad case of diarrhea...with each move down they think its over, then if they dare to fart, they crap their pants....GOD< I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!...so they are all afraid they're going to crap their pants again...and they scream CAPITULATION!!!!......what they really should scream is AMODIUM!!!!, and it may occur in the form of a gap up that is NOT filled...... did that happen Friday??? guess we'll see. these guys are as human as you and I...and therefore subject to the same psyche swings Keopectate1600
