As far as the Florida Supreme Court goes, I have a feeling that they may just wait until the counties are finished with the manual recounts. If the recounts show Bush still ahead then the could rule in Gore's favor and both sides would be taken care of and an end would be put in. If they make a decsion against Gore right now, it would throw a huge monkey wrench into the recounts and start a whole new bag of lawsuits and posibly stop the recounts. What would happen if they stopped the recount and had to restart them yet again?

If Gore winds up ahead in the votes then they have their work cut out for themselves making a decision.

No matter what they decide the losing party will immediately appeal the decision to the Federal courts. No clear cut end in sight IMO.

The best thing would have been for someone with the authority to make the rules on how to recount a ballot, and let both sides pick which counties they wanted redone. We'd be done and over it by now.

Maybe we'll get some sort of court decision tonight, how late do the Supremes work anyway?? <g>

Just got back in, but they're saying on CNN that this ruling could still come out tonight.

I know everybody's tired of this $hit...I know I am.

Count me in on that!
