the RSA issues are generally more sensitive to gold price movements...and with the frizzlebun still going strong vs. the Rand and the JGOL practically frozen on the lows (the same lows it visits every seven years btw.)my guess is they're waiting for a move in the JGOL, which in turn tends to wait for moves in the XAU...

one thing's for sure though, the current quarter is shaping up pretty nicely for GOLD and HGMCY earnings-wise. Rand gold price has been hitting new highs lately, and no new pressures from the input cost side to be expected this quarter. SA mines are beginning to link their power costs contractually to the dollar gold price, which is a great idea copied from the aluminum producers. GOLD should pay its foregone dividend at the end of this year, together with the regular divvie, which means approximately 9% yield.

no way of telling when exactly they'll wake up...but they will wake up.
