UMTS UTRA (WCDMA) is "claimed" to be 2 times as efficient spectrally as an IS-95A network (same as 1xMC is)

Same as 1xMc? How can that be true if you double your capacity and data speed with the same bandwidth and end up with same spectral efficiency?

As for claim

You claim, he claims, and I claim:-)

Right. And Nokia's claim combined with simple math will tell you that the absolute cost to run a W-CDMA network will be higher than for a GSM network.

No big surprise and not very significant but that's all I was saying.
