A vote is different from an "intended" vote. Doesn't matter if counters can contact every single person who dimpled a chad and verify that they absolutely intended to vote for a particular candidate.

We are counting VOTES not intentions.

one of the few precincts in Houston that uses the punch card ballots.
Be honest, did you flip the card over and check it for hanging chads before putting it into the ballot box?

What bothers me is that we heard from Dubya till we could choke on it that he trusts the will of the people. I know all about the Electoral College, but the will of the voters is that Gore should be President. How can he not acknowledge this at all? Texas recognizes dimpled chads--Bush signed that law & then he unleashes a full-blown attack on this as if it was something invented in Palm Beach County.

I'm sorry but this all seems very "Clintonesque" to me--Bush looks terrible here to all but his more ardent supporters, who will forgive him any hypocrisy.
