Lieberman was clearly uncomfortable when asked about it on tv...he floundered around a bit...and then put on a great show of astonishment that such a terrible thing could happen to our servicemen...but he never answered the question directly...really slick....but definitely hedging...

Carolyn, Please tell me you are not just realizing that some hack is going to do anything like this or suddenly finding GW's ancient DUI conviction without OK from the top! Were it not for having been in the military this shit would really scare me. Many serviceman have FL as their home state regardless of where they are stationed because of the no income tax. We are not just talking about people that are overseas but people at every duty point in the states and world wide. When you isolate a group like our fine military and not allow them to vote, etc. well in many countries coup's have been started for less reason. Our military would not do this because they are proud of our constitution and what it and they stand for. A perfect example would be the respect they have shown the outgoing Commander in Heat. I am sure it was difficult to show him respect but they did. For that reason they will do it for 4 more years thank God. Jeff
