mr. mark,

I think I want to switch to Win2000 if it's really more stable than W9x. You have it on a dual-boot system, right? How so you like it so far?

If you think it's worth it, maybe I should get the upgrade version. From what I have read, it has everything the full version does and the only difference is that it verifies that you have a legal copy of the Windows version you are replacing. Some Windows upgrades will install on a bare disk (I have heard) and only ask you to put in your old Windows CD momentarily for verification. Will Win2000 do that? It would be nice to know that even the upgrade version will prevent W98 weaknesses from popping up again.

Maybe you can give me some + or - hints before I buy it.

Frank
