2% is hard to believe. I sold half a few weeks ago (after voting NO) and will likely sell the remains over the next 3 months. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I think I will change my investment philosophy after learning this lesson.

To me it looks like they have the wind in their face. Yeah, to the extent that index funds adjust, that is negative. Then one must wonder what portion of the Seagate holders will want to be long term holders of VRTS, what portion will just be covering their shorts. Then the market is getting a bit more skeptical of double digit PSRs.
