It doesn't look too good. The only change is 20% power reduction, no performance enhancements. It seems dubious that AMD can scale to 1.5 gig in volume on .18 to me. The mobile sector is promising though... at least for now because the chips will be running slower than desktop and will therefore need less power, plus this area should provide a new source of high ASP revenue.

I don't think there is any new information in Anand's article that we didn't know about. There is nothing about SSE (in or not), nothing about cache sizes (where the consensus is leaning to no change), nothing about the process technology changes, and only a WAG about the power consumption, nothing about changes to branch prediction, nothing about hardware prefetch.

This either means none of the above is included, or that AMD is not talking.
