TA, just as last year's bull was atypical, this is not a typical bear market. I don't remember a market going straight up, as it did late last year and early this year, or straight down, as it has been doing since April, with only a feeble summer rally. Just as margin was pretty safe last year, this year shorting is pretty safe. However, I am staying away from both -- they are accidents waiting to happen.
