I have been looking for any coverage on these underlying challenges that were upheld, but rhetoric has overtaken reason on this issue and it seems more convenient for Republicans to cry rape than to find out the true scope of what happened.

The important thing is to get the military votes counted. Forget the Republican rhetoric....you only have to read the document to see the intent to disqualify military ballots on technicalities. Gore should make a clear public statement. He should say that no military ballot should thrown out on a technicality. They all have names. There are not that many. If you want proof call them up and have them sign something. The civilians didn't follow the voting rules and the issue was taken to the supreme court. At minimum the military deserves the same.
