What should they have done with the chads? Clearly a significant number of chads are being removed from the ballots. Obviously there are hundreds of ballots that are now no longer the same as they were when submitted, so obviously any count of these modified ballots can't be as accurate as earlier counts. The more the ballots are handled, the less they will reflect the original votes, and the less accurate any count could hope to be.
