Coexistence may not be the problem, Mike. The Home Network is about extending its reach beyond your PC to encompass several other home devices.

Wireless LANs are about avoiding those cable channels in the perimeter of offices which are required to wire a building. In the open space UMTS will rule. So every network will confined to its own area.

Who would need a cordless in a world where you would have multiband mobile terminals, used as walkie-talkie, intra-cell calling device and roaming device?

This Euro view is about building a transceiver in every device. The convergence was said to be between telephony and data is now in fact convergence between mobile and data.
