Holidity...Rande, lots of daytraders know the history behind the Friday after Thanksgiving and will be looking for those 2-3 stocks which always seem to skyrocket. Those stocks that seem to take off are usually tied to some kind of announcement, either individually, or in a sector. I don't think we will see a major downside on Friday as most will just stay away and ignore the market. The election results will not be final on Sunday with certification. Whatever side loses will appeal and have until Dec. 12th, the day the electors are selected to make their case. If Bush supporters don't win, they will take the appeal to the Florida legislature to try to be electoral delegates selected as only Republicans, in time for the electoral college vote on December 18th. I think we can certainly expect the election will not be final until December 18, 2000 when the college casts it's ballots. Until then, the market it at the whim of whose has won the latest judicial battle in the courts, IMO.

As for "Holidity", I'm hoping it will still happen, and will be searching for what is popping late today or early on Friday.
